geo|logic - 2022

geo|logic tries to rectify the disconnect between potter and material. Mass-produced porcelain was thrown into pitchers and vases, and then distorted into abstract sculptures modeled after rock faces and water features. The clay then becomes the mountainside and the water; the very conditions that created the stone and earthenware slips that line its surface.
